Terms and Conditions of Service for BluePrintz and Docs

Please read these Terms and Conditions ("Terms") carefully before using the services of BluePrintz and Docs ("we," "us," "our").

These Terms govern your use of our document printing and related services (the "Services"), both online and offline. By placing an order with us, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Service Model & Order Placement

  • Home-Based Business: BluePrintz and Docs operates as a home-based business. We do not have a public storefront. All interactions, including order placement, file transfer, and consultation, are conducted remotely via our website, email, or phone.

  • Delivery-Centric Service: As we do not offer a physical location for pick-up, all completed orders are delivered via a third-party carrier (e.g., USPS, FedEx, UPS) or through our local delivery service. The customer is responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address.

  • Order Acceptance: Your order is an offer to purchase our Services. We reserve the right to refuse service, cancel an order, or limit quantities for any reason, including but not limited to suspected fraud, inappropriate content, or inability to fulfill the order.

2. File Uploads & Customer Responsibility

  • Accuracy and Proofing: You are solely responsible for reviewing and proofing all digital files submitted for printing. You must verify the accuracy of all text, images, formatting, and specifications (e.g., color, paper size, binding) before submitting your order. We are not responsible for errors, typos, or formatting issues present in the files you provide.

  • File Compatibility: We will make a reasonable effort to work with standard file formats (e.g., PDF, DOC, JPG). However, it is your responsibility to ensure your files are compatible and will print as intended. We may request file modifications if issues are detected.

  • File Retention: We will retain your digital files for a limited time (e.g., 30 days) after order completion for quality assurance and reprint purposes. After this period, we will securely delete them. You should retain your own master copies.

3. Payment and Pricing

  • Quotes and Final Price: Online quotes are estimates. The final price may change if the actual job requirements differ from the initial specifications provided (e.g., file requires extensive pre-press work, special materials are needed).

  • Payment Terms: Full payment is required before we begin production, unless otherwise agreed upon in writing for commercial accounts.

  • Taxes: You are responsible for paying all sales, use, and similar taxes associated with your order.

4. Delivery

  • Shipping Costs: Shipping and delivery costs are in addition to the price of the printing services and are the responsibility of the customer.

  • Shipping Timeline: Any estimated delivery dates provided are based on the carrier's estimates and are not guaranteed. We are not liable for delays caused by the shipping carrier, weather, or other events beyond our reasonable control.

  • Local Delivery: For orders within our local delivery area, we will coordinate a delivery time. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure someone is available to receive the order or provide a secure drop-off location. We are not liable for packages left in unsecured locations per the customer's instructions.

  • Risk of Loss: Title and risk of loss for all printed materials pass to you upon our delivery to the shipping carrier. For local delivery, risk of loss passes upon delivery to the specified address.

5. Intellectual Property & Content

  • Your Content: By submitting files to us, you represent and warrant that you own all necessary rights to the content, or have obtained all necessary permissions, to have it reproduced by us. This includes copyrights for text, images, and logos.

  • Copyright Infringement: You agree to indemnify and hold BluePrintz and Docs harmless from any and all claims, damages, and expenses (including attorneys' fees) arising from the infringement of any third-party intellectual property rights by the content you provide.

  • Prohibited Content: You may not use our Services to print material that is illegal, obscene, defamatory, threatening, or that violates any law or regulation. We reserve the right to refuse to print any content we deem, in our sole discretion, to be inappropriate or unlawful.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, BluePrintz and Docs's total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of our Services is limited to the amount you paid for the order in question. We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits or data, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

7. Returns, Refunds, and Reprints

  • Satisfaction Guarantee: We strive for 100% customer satisfaction. If there is a defect in our workmanship (e.g., misprints, binding errors, poor print quality), we will gladly reprint the job at no cost. You must notify us of the defect within 3 business days of receiving your order and may be required to provide photographic evidence.

  • Customer Error: No refunds or reprints will be provided for errors originating from the customer's provided files (see Section 2).

  • Cancellations: Orders may be cancelled without penalty only if cancellation is requested before production has begun. Once production has started, cancellation may result in a partial or full charge.

8. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of our Services shall be resolved in the state courts located in [Your County] County, California.

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. The most current version will be posted on our website. Your continued use of our Services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
